Browsing Facebook and on a friend’s page this weekend, I came across an interesting high heel to say the least. Not only was it unique, rare, and original—it’s surreal! Let me introduce to you “High Tide Heels”.
My first thought… Is this shoe real? I had to find out who is the designer behind this original yet unusual take on a pair of heels. These high heel flippers been around since 2006, it was created by Belgian artist Paul Schietekat for an exhibit. Sorry ladies, I don’t think there are any plans to sell the High Tide Heels to the masses. I cannot imagine the flipper heel being comfortable at all. I’ve worn flippers to scuba; not only were they heavy, they were definitely hard to walk in. I must say Mr. Schietekat, absolutely showed that anything can be turned into a weird but elegant forward fashion stiletto.

I can see myself tripping and falling and busting my face open wearing these shoes. They look good but are they good to wear? (Just saying looks like a big accident).
Cheers.
