Two weeks ago I saw a photo of Sophia Bush at a red carpet event with a cute multicolored ethnic print clutch and I wondered who made it. After some research, I discovered it was designed by this fabulous organization called Hands up Not Handout, who’s motto is “Empowering women of the world.” Hands up Not Handout is an organization mentoring Palestinian and Rwandan women on how to become self sufficient through earning more money as well as teaching them to be empowered. These women want to provide for their families by supplying them with better food, health care, and an education. Hands up Not Handout also lends a hand to these women by assisting them with selling their handcrafted products; giving every woman and their families hope for a future. The women of Palestine have two collections- the Rafiq & Wadid, which offers lush hand-embroidered cuffs and wrap bracelets. And the women of Rwanda offer beautiful handmade accessories, which are the Urukundo & Yellow Brick Road collections. Both collections are made of sweet grass and sisal consisting of earrings and Ishya Clutch Collection.
